What to put in a GPU request
A vague “we need GPUs” gets you a list of questions back. A complete request gets you a price. Include these:

Storage and bandwidth help too, so add them if you know them. The form also asks when you need it, and that answer shapes what we can offer.
Why power per server matters so much
GPU choice drives the power bill harder than anything else in the box. NVIDIA lists the L4 at 72 W, the L40S at 350 W and the H100 SXM at up to 700 W, and that’s per card, before you count CPUs, memory, drives and fans.
Do the multiplication. Eight H100 SXM cards can pull up to 5,600 W on their own, while eight L4s top out at 576 W, which is a difference of roughly ten times for the same number of cards and the reason the power line in your request matters more than the model name.
If you don’t know your draw yet, say so and tell us the workload instead. Inference on a small model and training a large one are very different requests.
If a GPU isn’t strictly necessary
Not every job that sounds like GPU work needs one. If you’re not sure about yours, test it on a CPU server with plenty of cores and memory first. Our dedicated servers are listed across three US locations, and in-stock builds go live the same or next day, so finding out is quick.

Colocation is the route for hardware you own. Our Chicago packages run from 1U up to a full rack, with power sold per package as amps and receptacles, so a GPU box needs a conversation about its draw before it ships.
GPU builds are custom, so there’s no same-day stock to pick from. Tell us your timeline in the quote request and the proposal will say what’s realistic.
