Los Angeles dedicated servers, from $126 a month

If most of your users are west of the Rockies, stop serving them from the other side of the country. Our LA entry server is $126 a month on the order form, it's in stock today, and in-stock builds are online the same day or the next.

The whole box is yours

A cloud instance in LA shares a host with strangers. A dedicated server doesn’t. You get every core, every gigabyte of RAM and the full disk queue, so a noisy neighbor can’t slow your database at 9 p.m. Pacific. You also get root or Administrator from day one.

Pair LA with Chicago or Ashburn

LA covers the West Coast. Our Chicago dedicated servers cover the middle of the country, and Ashburn covers the East Coast and the short hop to Europe. A common setup is a Chicago primary with an LA replica, so a regional outage costs you a failover instead of a day.

Why put your server in Los Angeles

Distance is latency, and no amount of server tuning buys it back. Put the machine near the people using it.

Ashburn dedicated servers

Closer to West Coast users

People in LA, San Diego, the Bay Area, Phoenix and Las Vegas get a shorter path to LA than to Chicago or Virginia. For an API that fires a dozen calls per page load, or a game lobby where players notice every frame, that difference adds up fast.

The Pacific side of your network

Serving customers in Tokyo, Sydney or Singapore from the US? Put a second site on the Pacific side of the country. It won't shrink the ocean, but it cuts the cross-country leg out of the trip.

A second region for failover

A backup in the same metro as your primary shares its storms, power events and fiber cuts. LA sits far from our Chicago and Ashburn sites, which is the point.

Custom and GPU builds

Need more RAM, NVMe, or a GPU? GPU servers aren't on the order form right now, but we take requests. Send the spec through the custom quote form and we'll price it. Custom builds ship in a week or less.

Operating systems

Linux or Windows, installed before handoff

The LA order forms list AlmaLinux, Rocky Linux, Debian, Ubuntu, CentOS, FreeBSD, Proxmox and VMware ESXi at no extra charge. Windows Server Standard is $50 a month and Datacenter is $300 a month on the same forms. Running something off the list? Pick “Self-Installed” and mount your own ISO over IPMI.

Not sure which LA build fits?

Tell us what you run, how much traffic it pushes and where your users sit. We'll spec a server to the workload. If Chicago or Ashburn would serve you better, we'll say so.

What's included with every LA dedicated server

No tiers to decode. These come with every build on the LA order forms, and the SLA numbers are the ones in our legal SLA.

Uptime SLA in writing

99.5% network availability on every server, 99.95% once you add a management plan, and 100% only with our High Availability Guarantee. Miss it and you get service credits.

30-minute support response

A written ticket gets an engineer's response within 30 minutes, or 15 minutes on a managed plan.

2-hour hardware replacement

A failed part gets swapped within two hours, or one hour on a managed plan.

IPMI on a private network

Console and power control sit on a private management network by default, so you can fix a server that won't boot without exposing that interface to the internet.

Fast delivery

In-stock builds are online the same day or the next day. Custom builds take a week or less.

Private networking

A 1 Gbps private network is included; 10 Gbps is $20 a month on the order form.

Backups and DDoS protection

R1Soft automated backups with 1 TB of storage, plus DDoS protection, are both included at $0 on the LA forms.

Management when you want it

Enterprise Server Management is $99 a month on the order form ($79 with cPanel) and moves you to the managed SLA. More on managed vs self-managed dedicated servers.

Los Angeles dedicated server FAQs

Other locations: Chicago · Ashburn

Is the $126 LA server actually in stock?

Yes. The LA entry order form totals $126 a month with $0 setup, and its CPU options show as available for Los Angeles. In-stock builds are online the same day or the next.

What's in the $126 build?

A Xeon E3-1230 v1 with 4 cores and 8 threads, 16 GB of RAM, a 1 TB enterprise HDD and 30 TB of monthly transfer. You can change the RAM, drives and bandwidth on the form, and the total updates as you go.

What uptime do I get in writing?

99.5% on every dedicated server under our Essential SLA. Add a management plan and you’re on the Awesome SLA at 99.95%, with a 15-minute response and 1-hour hardware replacement. 100% applies only with the High Availability Guarantee. Credits and exceptions are spelled out on our SLA page.

How far is LA from your other sites?

Our network team measured about 52 ms average from our Ashburn site to Hurricane Electric’s Los Angeles core (100 probes, 28 September 2026). That’s comfortable for cross-country replication and failover. To see what your own users would get, run a test from your network at lg.gigenet.com.

Is the LA facility certified?

Yes, SOC 2 Type II. If your auditor needs paperwork for a specific control, ask us on the quote form and we’ll tell you what we can share.

Can I run Windows on an LA server?

Yes. Pick it on the order form: Windows Server Standard is $50 a month and Datacenter is $300 a month. Standard covers most single-server setups; Datacenter makes sense when you’re building a Hyper-V host with lots of Windows VMs.

Do I get out-of-band access?

Yes. IPMI sits on a private management network by default. You get console and power control when the OS won’t boot, and that interface isn’t exposed to the public internet.

Can I get a GPU server or a custom build in LA?

GPU servers aren’t on the order form right now, but we take requests through the custom quote form. Custom builds, GPU or not, take a week or less once the spec is agreed.
