Detection and filtering are automatic and always on. Attack traffic is dropped before it reaches the server, and legitimate traffic passes through with minimal added latency, so nobody has to notice an attack before mitigation starts.

Size it from the attacks you’ve actually had, not the average day. If a previous host or your own graphs show the peak of past attacks, pick the level above it. If attacks have stayed under 4 Gbps, the included protection already covers them.

If you’ve never been hit, start on the included 4 Gbps. Public-facing game servers, e-commerce checkouts and financial services are common targets, so tell us what you run and whether you’ve been attacked before, and we’ll suggest a level.
