Job description: Level 1 Support Technician

Position Summary:
The Level 1 Support Technician is responsible for working in a team environment to support GigeNET’s growing customer base. The Level 1 Support Technician will also be a crucial member of the technical team in addressing product related issues specific to the local data center.

Principal Responsibilities (but not limited to):

  • Level 1 Help Desk Support of GigeNET’s customer base including phone calls, emails, tickets and chats.
  • Installation and support of all products GigeNET sells or provides to its customer base.
  • Ongoing training on products that we support and research in to new products the market is using.
  • Provide support for internal equipment and services.
  • Be proficient with all products GigeNET is responsible for providing support for.
  • Work on projects that are assigned by management.

Job Requirements

  • 1 - 3 years of non-professional or professional experience with various open-source environments and the hosting industry.
  • Strong Linux Server and Windows Server background a must.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, making and keeping commitments and meeting deadlines a must.
  • Customer Relations background a must.

Job description: Business Development Representative

Position Summary:
GigeNET ward winning national organization providing Cloud Based Computing, Dedicated Servers, Web Hosting, Server Co-Location s with DDOS/denial of service protection is seeking new business development executives at their Arlington Heights, IL headquarters. We have a national and global reach and are the cutting edge of Cloud Based Computing Technologies.

Responsibilities include outbound telephone solicitation to a designated data base for qualification and development of sales leads; follow up and qualification of web base prospect inquiries; facilitation of appointment setting and database management. This is an inside sales business development position with career opportunities throughout the company.

The ideal candidates will have the following qualifications:
  • The ability to create sales opportunities over the phone and develop rapport with prospective clients
  • Outstanding verbal/telephone skills as well as written skills for presenting a professional organization
  • Business Development or Sales Background utilizing a consultative model is preferred
  • Proven successful track record in achieving and exceeding organizational sales goals selling technical based products/services (Cloud & Colo experience a plus)
  • Self-starter, goal-oriented, and motivated by financial rewards
  • Self-confident in a variety of settings with solid belief in his/her own success and capabilities
  • Professional, energetic phone presence
  • Solid follow-up and organizational skills
